Last week I did some experiment about my type 1 diabetes. I measure the effect of food, exercise, and insulin shot in my body. As you know, I'm living in a remote area where it's hard to find the good doctor to take care of my diabetes. The results of my experiment were being cross check with some journals. And here are what I got from the experiment.

Years ago, I read "Battle Hymn Of The Tiger Mother", this book teach me a lot about how Asian parents educate their children. I felt so agree with the book, and at the same time... disagree! Why I agree? Yes, that is the most Asian parents do to their children! Why I disagree? That's absolutely not the right parenting method for me. I am Asian mom, but I will not do that to my child.

When your child turns to a teenager, they are different! Not only about their size, but their taste, their preferences, their personality, their needs. A teenager is a “bye bye childhood and wanna be adult” person. They are likely to look like an adult but is not adult enough to manage some responsibilities. If the parent realizes these changes, a parent will be able to feed their needs. Even for their birthday party. Imagine if you prepare your teen’s birthday in fairy theme, with fairy costume. You will get two open eyes and one open mouth ready to protest!

This Month Goal: My Son!

April is the most important month for me, it is the month which I become a mother. Twelve years ago my son was born at April, since that day my life has changed. Everyday full of surprise from him. So this month I have special things to do and goals to achieved.

Healthy Food Recipe Wedgzza- Faithful Finish Lines Week 4

Week 4 of Faithful Finish Lines is about food we eat, and beverages. Eat wisely and drink zero calorie beverages. This is exactly what I done since I got diabetes. I am not drink beverage with sugar, and if I really want it, I only take one spoonful, not more than that. Because every calorie counted and have specific effect on me.
