Rainy Day Favorite Activities

It was a rainy day, even when I write this, the rain still falling. Rain began to fall at 3 a.m, and suddenly became hard. I open the curtain to see what happened outside. Oh my God! Flood! Everywhere covered by water. Our stuffs outside were floating, even the trash can that was full.

I began to panic, looking at the bathroom. Water began to force to get into the hole. Was it the time to put our stuffs up to table? My husband made a stopper from styrofoam and plastic bag. He putted the stopper into the bathroom hole, to stopped the water flow. It works!

The flood happened not just because the hard rain, but it also because high tides, and I think it is the main reason of the flood. When morning was broken, the flood was stopped, but the rain still falling. The air became so cold. Can I work at this cold-grey weather? Big no! My brain feel so freeze, my eyes need to close tightly, my body want to just lay on the bed!

What are my favorite activities at this cold weather?

Reading
I like to read story and history, those gave me ideas about living. When I was kid, I read stories of Laura Ingalls Wilder, she is inspiring me so much! Until now, a lot of my courages inspired by her. I have to admit that her books are truly living books!

Drawing
Drawing and painting are stress release! I draw with my own style, and painting with my own taste. I feel free by doing these. Art should be releasing stress! Do not push your drawing to similar with others. Your art is you!

Eating!
Cold weather makes our tummy go hungry. We can’t stop eat snack! Fried bananas, fried tofu, fried potatoes, hot ginger drink, my tummy are ready to accept you!

Even though I become a lazy lady on rainy day, but I like rainy weather so much! I feel alive when rain is falling, it makes me remember of the joy Christmas day. In my tropical country, Christmas is in rainy season, we have no winter.
