Multicultural Children’s Book Day: Review of "The Obstaclēs"

Being different and looks so weak, is the reason why someone gets bullied, even though bullying is the wrong thing to do. Belittled, berated, beaten, mocked, that's normally accepted by kids who have retardation and physical weakness. In fact, behind all the limitations there is a big heart, the heart of a hero.

The Obstaclēs presents a heroic tale through a wonderful adventure new realms - Humungopolis! A story that presents a fantasy tale of nature and creation that are full of imagination to describe real-world problems that kids may face. Obstaclēs, the hero, a little giant who works through issues of bullying, self-confidence, and ADHD. Within these limitations, Obstacles proved he can be a hero.

When reading the adventures of Obstaclēs, the reader will feel empathy for him, and into the adventure of the science-fiction world. This book is very suitable for boys. The stories and struggles of Obstaclēs will give a revelation to them of strength in weaknesses, and the importance to love one another.

If you have boy in the house, or if you are a teacher, you can use this book in the discussion, since this book is great for preventing children doing the bullying, inviting them to better appreciate friends who physically weak, and make them understand that physical weakness is not a barrier for someone to be a hero.
